Sleep Problems
- You need 8 hours: 7 hours is fine. The American Cancer Society monitored the sleep patterns of 1 million people — they found that those who slept 7 hrs a night lived 12% longer than 8-hr sleepers.
- You can catch up on the weekends: Unfortunately for many of us, this doesn’t work. Getting seven hours at roughly the same time each night will prevent fatigue, but sleeping until noon on Saturday in order to make up for the four hours of sleep you got on Thursday throws off your sleep rhythm, making you even more tired.
- Spinal alignment has nothing to do with sleep: In research of patient’s brain wave frequencies before and after upper neck spinal adjustments, results showed an increase in the Alpha-brainwave which is associated with relaxation, healing & ability to achieve deep sleep.
Success with sleep problems:
“I was not sleeping properly. The lack of sleep made me extremely tired throughout the day. By stabilizing my spine, not only am I feeling better, but my sleeping has improved.”

“I had an upper cervical adjustment a few weeks ago, the first time, and it really felt wonderful to me, the next morning I woke up and realized I had slept through the night for the first time in seven or eight years since I’d had my first kids. I just fell asleep and slept really hard, woke up the next morning and felt VERY refreshed. I haven’t felt that way in a long time. I felt not even just refreshed, but happy and good. My whole body felt, felt like it was working right.” the feeling I had the next day was something that I haven’t felt in a long, long time.”
